Unfortunately, Ebrahim Sharifzadeh, One of the most important Iranian folklore musicians passed away. On Saturday  Nov. 12th, 2016 Iran lost one of it’s greatest Dotar players and singers.

Ebrahim Sharif Zadeh was borne in a small town of Khorasan razavi province named Bakhraz and started the music when he was a young boy. He is also the creator of some famous folklore pieces such as Sarve Kharaman, Delbar-e Ra’na, Dokhtar Amou Jan.  Some ethnomusicologysts believe that his style of singing was absolutely unique.
